Fix “Microsoft can not be started” Problem in Outlook 2010

For the effective managements of data such as emails, contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, appointments and others, most of the people prefer using Microsoft Outlook application. It is widely used by large number of professional as well as individual users all around the globe. However, under some circumstances user encounter with “Microsoft Outlook can not be started” in Outlook 2010 or other versions. At first click on Start and Go the “Control Panel” and change “View By” to the “Large Icon”. Then Select Mail Option


Now Click on “Date Files


Next, you need to click on Data Files option you are using and select “Open File Location”.


You need to right click on data files and click on “Properties” option


Lastly, uncheck the “Read Only” box and click on “OK” button


Using the aforementioned steps, you will be able to solve “Microsoft can not be started” in Outlook 2010 or 2013 issue. Now, you can open this application without any problem.


In case, if you are still facing same error and unable to fix the problem then it might be due to the corruption of PST file.
